Location: Enschede
Hours: 32–40 hours (0.8–1 FTE)
Are you a networker with a passion for innovation and technology? Would you like to play a key role in strengthening the Dutch semiconductor ecosystem and contribute to the goals of the EU Chips Act? Then the role of Partnership Manager is for you!
About the ChipNL Competence Center
In Twente, we contribute to various programs aimed at strengthening the national chip tech ecosystem. We do this under the umbrella of ChipTech Twente, a foundation established by Twente Board, the University of Twente, and Oost NL. Together with national partners Brainport Development, High Tech NL, TNO, imec, JePPIX, Oost NL, BOM and Innovation Quarter, we give substance to the national ChipNL Competence Center. This is a four-year program in which companies, knowledge institutions, and governments work together to create a powerful semicon ecosystem. The focus is on talent development, knowledge sharing, business development, and innovation.
What will you be working on?
In this position, you will represent the northern and eastern regions of the Netherlands within the national program. Together with your colleagues from other regions, you will develop a national approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Innovation coordination: You will coordinate the development of industry-driven innovation programs, translating technological issues into actionable plans. You will manage the process from start to finish, ensuring optimal cooperation between all parties involved. Your duties will also include contributing to programs that will advance the national semicon agenda.
- Fostering collaboration: You facilitate connections between companies, universities, research institutes, subsidy partners, and government agencies to stimulate knowledge sharing and co-creation. You also collaborate with existing projects and programs, such as PhotonDelta, Quantum Delta NL, 6G Future Services, Polaris, and NXTGEN Hightech.
- Program development and knowledge sharing: You contribute to the development of programs related to talent and business development, among other things, in line with the objectives of the ChipNL Competence Center. You also provide input for a wide range of knowledge-sharing activities, ranging from field trips and trade fairs to knowledge sessions and white papers. You actively promote the activities of the ChipNL Competence Center.
- Consortium formation: You identify opportunities for companies in the semiconductor industry or related application areas and set up consortia of companies and/or knowledge institutions to jointly capitalize on these opportunities. In doing so, you closely monitor strategic ambitions and developments in the (inter)national and European semiconductor sector.
What do you bring to the table?
To be successful in this role, you have the following skills and qualifications:
- University degree and at least 5 years of experience in coordinating and drawing up innovation programs, setting up public-private partnerships, and/or managing complex multi-stakeholder environments.
- Affinity with technology and the semiconductor sector (knowledge of chip design, equipment, photonics, and/or quantum is an advantage).
- You are a strong networker who can easily switch between the business world, government, and education. Dealing with sometimes divergent interests and the fact that we work with public funds also requires political/administrative sensitivity and flexibility.
- You are an inspiring personality with excellent presentation and communication skills in Dutch and English.
- You are a strong writer with analytical skills who can translate trends, market developments, and subsidies into strategic opportunities for the ecosystem.
What do we offer?
On behalf of ChipTech Twente, you will work for the national ChipNL Competence Centre. You can expect the following from us:
- A key role in a national and international program with great social relevance.
- A dynamic position in an enthusiastic team with many challenges, a high degree of trust, and room for creativity and personal input.
- A network of leading partners in technology, education, and policy.
- A competitive salary in line with your knowledge and experience.
- A one-year contract with the possibility of extension within the four-year program.
