Saxion and Quix Quantum prize winners Purple NECtar x Innovation in Defence 2025

How can you quickly bring innovations into operation? That was the central question during Purple NECtar x Innovation in Defence, the Ministry of Defence’s largest knowledge and innovation event. More than 3,500 visitors discovered how new technology and working methods are making the armed forces more agile and stronger. The theme of this edition: Innovate. Integrate. Operate.

Over the past six months, various companies, organisations and knowledge institutes were given the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to important defence issues. They presented their solutions on the second day of PN x IID.

Smart Mechatronics And RoboTics (SMART) Research Group Saxion University of Applied Sciences won in the “sensors” category.

Quix Quantum even won two prizes in the “quantum” category.

The winners will have the opportunity to further develop their prototypes in the coming period with funding from the Ministry of Defence.
