First ‘Cleanroom Behaviour’ exam successfully completed

The first students from the ROC van Twente Precision Engineering course have completed the ‘Cleanroom Behaviour’ exam. This means that the students are accredited to work in a cleanroom. This is important for them and it opens up new opportunities, for now and in the future.

Pioneers in Technical Education

Together with the LIS, the Leiden Instrumentmakers School, ROC van Twente has made this possible. ‘And this is just the beginning,’ says Arjan Doek, teacher of Precision Engineering. ‘Soon it will also be possible for the boys and girls in the Engineering Technician and Process Engineering programmes. It shows that we in Twente are at the forefront in this field.’

Quantum technology is the future

Cleanroom education is making great strides in our senior secondary vocational education and is becoming increasingly important. This is because cleanrooms are used to work with quantum technology. Quantum technology is about the tiniest particles that you cannot see with the naked eye. And these super-small particles, also known as nanoparticles, are becoming increasingly important.
