The day will focus on the work and possibilities within the CAT3 Quantum Sensing Application Program.

TECHNICAL SESSION: Quantum Sensing using ultracold atoms

Prof. dr. Florian Schreck, UvA

QDNL CAT-3 ultracold atoms testbed lead. This session will additionally host two speakers about the topic ultracold quantum sensing: Dr. Shayne Bennetts (FireFly, UvA) and one industrial speaker to be confirmed.

13:00 – 14:00 TECHNICAL SESSION: Quantum Sensing using mechanical sensors

Prof. dr. Simon Groeblacher, TU Delft

QDNL CAT-3 mechanical testbed lead. This session will additionally host two speakers about mechnical based sensing: Dr. Letizia Catalini (ETH Zurich) and Prof. dr. Silvan Schmid (TU Wien)

14:30 – 15:30 TECHNICAL SESSION: Quantum sensing using diamond based sensors

QDNL CAT-3 diamond based sensors lead. This session will additionally host two speakers about spin based sensing: dr. Toeno van der Sar (TU Delft)and dr. Michele Buscema (Applied Nanolayers).
