Together building the future of semiconductor talent in the Netherlands
The semiconductor industry is growing explosively, and with it the demand for talent. The Netherlands wants to maintain and strengthen its leading position, but thousands of additional professionals are needed for that: from chip designers and process operators to software developers and HR advisors.
The ChipNL Competence Centre (ChipNL CC) brings together national and regional initiatives and connects them with European programmes. ChipNL CC helps companies, educational institutions, talent and policymakers navigate a fragmented landscape. In doing so, we ensure that the Netherlands is not only the place where chips are made, but also where talent feels at home and can grow.
Talent is the heart of innovation. By connecting people, knowledge and opportunities, we make the Dutch semiconductor industry a little stronger every day.
ChipNL CC supports the entire semiconductor chain with one goal: to ensure that talent can join, progress, and stay.
For startups and scale-ups
We help young and growing companies gain access to talent pools of students, trainees, and international specialists. ChipNL CC navigates regulation and connects companies with regional initiatives such as incubator programs and Learning & Development tracks.
For SMEs and suppliers
Together with regional partners ChipNL CC helps companies look ahead: which skills will be crucial, and with whom can you set up training pathways? ChipNL CC provides direction and connects with training providers and Human Capital Agendas in the Netherlands.
For larger companies
As organizations grow, their need for knowledge and skills also changes. We help map out training needs and connects them with partners and programs that offer tailored solutions. From Talent & Learning Centers to niche training providers across Europe.
For education and trainers
We connect educational institutions with companies to better align curricula, internships and research projects with industry. In doing so, we bring regional initiatives, such as the Semicon Learning Center in Twente or the labs in Delft, together into a single national approach.
For government and industry organizations
ChipNL CC provides a neutral platform for collaboration, with data and analyses that underpin policy. We link national strategies to regional implementation and European initiatives so that plans actually lead to the recruitment and development of talent.
